Live Your (Sailing) Dream - Make It Count | Family Sailing Sabbatical Experience in the Caribbean

One year ago we sold everything we owned and moved aboard a sailing catamaran, traveling the Caribbean with our two young kids. It was an incredible experience. I hope our story inspires anyone out there who has this dream to go for it. Our travels included the following destinations: Puerto Rico, St. Thomas US Virgin Islands, St. John, British Virgin Islands, St. Martin/Sint Maarten, Antigua, Guadeloupe, Martinique, and Grenada. When we left the dock for the first time, we really had very little experience. It was a scary, but rewarding adventure. Nothing in our land life really fulfills us the way that facing the challenges of living on a boat did. Editing this video was difficult. It took months for me to be able to even watch the videos. James had tears in his eyes the first few times he watched it. There is no doubt this experience left an indelible mark on us. Although we had to sell our boat and return to land after our sailing sabbatical, we are not done yet. We will return to the ocean someday.
