Leaving The Andaman Islands| Sailing life| S03E27
On our final day with DiveIndia, we joined forces with the incredible Kachrewaale_thewastepeople team-led by Anne Philip and supported by Ruth, our DiveIndia instructor-to clean up the Meetha Nallah, one of Havelock's few freshwater streams. It was inspiring to see people from all walks of life come together for a meaningful cause. In just a few hours, we collected over 105 kg of plastic waste! To wrap up an unforgettable week of diving, the DiveIndia team visited Reeva for one last hangout filled with laughter, stories, and promises to meet again-above and below the waterline. With the diving chapter closed, we returned to Port Blair, waiting for a good weather window before the Southwest Monsoons kicked in. As we prepped Reeva for our longest passage yet-an open-ocean crossing of over 600 nautical miles from Port Blair to Langkawi-we took time to reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, and say our heartfelt goodbyes. One highlight was hosting the Honorable Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands onboard Reeva. His kind words and thoughtful gesture of homemade snacks made our farewell even more memorable. As the last sailboat to leave Port Blair this season, we stocked up on all our favorite Indian food and supplies. With winds gusting over 20 knots, we set sail as a family once again-grateful, hopeful, and ready for the next chapter at sea.
