Jib reef gives up at the worst moment - Ep128 - The Sailing Frenchman

Once offshore, getting weather forecast is more complicated. While it is possible to get grib files through satellite connection, those are forbiden in the Mini 6.50 class. So we get forecast through radion, lot less fluid than having grib files on a tablet, but it certainly teaches you oads more about systems, reading the sky, the barometer...etc. So we knew some more wind was coming, an as I was cruising along with a reef in the jib in 30kts of wind, the cringle decided to give up... So I had to pull out my storm jib in order not to extend the damage on the jib... this costed me a few position, but that's racing...
