January 5 Day School Holiday Voyage

From 19–23 January, 18 young people joined us for a five-day school holiday voyage through the Hauraki Gulf — and the weather made sure it was a real adventure. ⛵🌧️🌬️ With challenging Auckland conditions throughout the week, life onboard quickly became a lesson in resilience, teamwork, and adaptability. Living and learning at sea, the crew took part in hands-on sailing, navigation, and watch systems, discovering what it truly means to work together when conditions are tough. While time ashore was limited, the experience delivered an authentic outdoor education journey. Students were pushed outside their comfort zones, built confidence, supported one another, and proved that growth often comes from challenge.
