I GET A BREAK in Cairns!? Ep.160 Building my steel sailing yacht

Once again there is a lot happening in this episode, but I can say a BIG highlight was FINALLY getting away to have a break/rest from the boatyard and boatwork! I sort out a design for the cabin 2 locker; make up a multi-profiled edge piece for the head/toilet pedestal top as well as get all of the main panels and pieces made up for the cabinet! I also get a custom made PE roto-moulded Holding tank and work on it's fitting design and the FINALE is getting the engine box-companionway steps finally fitted and hinging right up to the coachroof height! WOOHOO! ?? Mistress is designed by one of the highly respected Dutch naval architects E.G. Van de Stadt, a Caribbean design, length 40ft/12m, beam 13ft/3.9m, draft 5ft/1.5m. Her hull and decks are built in mild steel and I have built her on my own and am also fitting her out on my own. I have not built any type of boat before Mistress. There were many reasons why, but the work stopped,... However, the work has re-started, thankfully, and I am on an exciting journey to finish Mistress and then go on my sailing adventures,...
