How to Template Marine Bulkheads #15

This week will be How to template marine bulkheads. I've seen a few different ways to go about building these templates, often cutting and fitting pieces of strapping seems to be the way. I wanted something a bit more ridged to build my bulkhead templates out of, so I used Plywood. I was fortunate enough to have the better part of the existing bulkheads to work with to make my bulkheads templates from so all that I need to do was stencil the remnants onto my template, take an educated guess in a few spots and transfer any existing information to my new bulkhead templates. these will be test fitted to the hull and cabin top adjusted, next I will be building the new chainplate bulkheads from Marine plywood or perhaps MDO, we will see, but it would be a good substitute for marine plywood bulkheads as it was designed for sign making and very weather resistant.
