Herreshoff Marine Museum celebrates design, innovation and entrepreneurship!

From its beginning, design, innovation, and entrepreneurship have been essential elements of the Herreshoff Marine Museum's DNA. 120 years ago, Captain Nat and JB were pushing the boundaries of naval architecture, creating a fully integrated business model and inspiring the world at the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company. Today, on the very same campus, children learn STEM concepts on sea and on land, teens gain vital technical skills to help them enter today's marine work force, and visitors are awed by the beauty of the boats in our collection.
