Helicopter braves extreme North Sea conditions to land on moving ship | Latest News The Danish Air Force navigated a new helicopter's landing on a warship under extreme weather conditions in the North Atlantic on Friday. The pilots landed the Sikorsky MH-60R Seahawk helicopter on a navy patrol vessel around the Faroe Islands, between Norway and Iceland. The landing was the final competence test for the Danish Air Force pilots, who had waited three weeks for the weather to be suitably rough to pose a real challenge. The Danish Air Force received three choppers in June and will have another six delivered in 2018. Each machine reportedly costs $686 million (?647.29 million), including the price of logistical support.
