Never use silicone on a boat, except for hatch leak repair. this is the one exception hatch construction uses Plexiglas a leak can form between frame and the glass. silicone can make a mess it is very difficult to completely remove to get a fresh seal and nothing sticks to cured silicone, not even silicone. also nothing sticks to the plexiglass in the hatch except silicone, so you can see the problem here. a hatch leak develops, the old silicone needs to be completely removed to repair, you don't want it any silicone to get on anything. It will ruin a future paint or gelcoat job and cause many other problems. so hatch leak repair requires the use of silicone, there is no getting around it. https://www.patreon.com/sailing_samantas https://paypal.me/SailingSamantas?country.x=US&locale.x=en_US
