FOR SALE Bestevaer 56 Tranquilo

The most famous Bestevaer -besides Gerry Dykstra's own perhaps- is for sale! 'Tranquilo' is an aluminium Bestevaer 56, built in 2007 at our yard in Makkum. The owner sailed her single handed twice around the world and twice through the Northwest Passage. Now that he is sailing on his new KMY built custom expedition yacht, it's time to sell Tranquilo. The yacht has a classic appearance from the outside, but the interior is modern and contemporary. Her lift keel ensures entrance into smaller bays and harbours. Thanks to her water ballast and carbon rig her sailing performance is excellent with ca 180-200nM per day on average. She has been refitted extensively over the past year with a new hull paint, new antifouling, check of the hydraulics, keel and rudder, teak deck re-sanded, new rod rigging and more. Having sailed almost 150.000nM she is a proven yacht, fully outfitted and ready to go out again with her next owner.
