First Trip to Wadden Sea: Locks, Grounding on Terschelling & New Year’s with Sailors - Ep. 4 [EN]

This early adventure in of December 20202 takes me from the calm, fresh waters of the IJsselmeer to the tidal Wadden Sea for the first time with my own Grinde. Together with Mark and my friend and sailing coach Hompe, we head to Terschelling to celebrate New Year’s Eve among fellow sailors. What follows is a trip full of firsts: passing through locks into salt water, an embarrassing grounding right in front of the harbour office, festive lights on the rigs, fresh oysters from a friendly fisherman, an unexpected mast climb on Vlieland, thick fog on the way home… and above all, the incredible warmth of the sailing community.
