First time off-roading, Tacoma TRD Off Road, Washington New Hampshire Class VI (unmaintained) road

This is the first time either of us did any off-roading. I had it in 4wd low the whole time. Tires were not aired down, rear diff was not locked, and A-TRAC was not on. I believe all the scraping sounds were the mud flaps. Which took me way too long to figure out. This is my first truck, which I got a week ago. I love it. We talked to a couple hikers coming the other way, who warned us the trail got worse, there was a big rock, "*maybe* you'll make it, you're up pretty high". Truck is stock, 2nd gen, 2010, manual.
