Napoleon was exiled here (for the second time!), Captain Cook stopped in, as did Joshua Slocum on his solo round the world voyage. And us of course!! We stopped at Saint Helena as a mid-way break during our South Atlantic crossing and fell in love with this gorgeous island and the wonderful people known as Saints. As we sailed into the island, it looked brown and rocky. But once we got to exploring, we discovered just how green and lush it is on the inside. There were stairs to climb at Jacob's Ladder (699 of them!), sights to see, and whale sharks to swim with. If only the swell in the mooring field wasn't so bad, we might have stayed forever!
