Wow! Just WOW! For Emmy, it is the first time visiting New York, and it's hard to believe that we have not only made it to New York - we actually sailed here, all the way from Sweden.! To anchor by the Statue of Liberty, and travel up the East River - straight through the heart of New York, was a dream. And it was even better than we had hoped for! And yes, it was very overwhelming to arrive to the city after months living off remote islands with very few people in sight. But here we are, ready to take on the city and explore! Fair winds! After a season in the Caribbean, we decided to leave Linnea in Trinidad and fly back to Sweden for the hurricane season. This allowed us to get an extra year of sailing and reach even more beautiful destinations for our second season of cruising. For now the goal is Greenland and back home to Sweden, via the Caribbean, BVIs, Bahamas, US east coast, and Canada. But who really knows how far our dreams might take us?
