Ep. 96 Kitesurfing in Vietnam

Light wind, heavy wipeouts, a camera strapped to the kite, and one very questionable decision after another… classic Sailing into Freedom. 😅🪁⛵ In this episode, I head back out for another kitesurf session in Vietnam, chasing waves in conditions that are just on the wrong side of powered. The wind keeps dropping right when I need it most, the kite stalls on the wave, and things get sketchy fast. There’s a raw look at how dangerous wave kiting can get when the power disappears, lines go slack, and you’re suddenly in the washing machine with surf, drag and zero margin for error. Of course, being Sailing into Freedom, I’ve also got a camera mounted on the kite, ignore my own advice not to crash it, and then proceed to absolutely send myself into the water hard enough to blow an eardrum and leave me wondering what else I may have broken.
