Ep. 21 Sailboat Anchor Failure! New Sailors Dragging into Shore!

Having our Anchor Windlass Fail with 15 feet of chain out as 20 knots blew our Sailboat Thalia into Shore was not in the plan for leaving Oriental, but as sailors often say, Plans are written in the sand at low tide! After some quick thinking and pulling up the anchor by hand, we were able to take off towards Belhaven and troubleshoot the problem under way to Belhaven NC, the stop that finally puts us "North" for Hurricane Season!
