The French manufacturers arguably have been quietly leading in many ways by developing intelligent trends and features while staying true to building quality, beautiful and functional sailing yachts. The 412 has proved a hugely successful model globally by offering serious capacity both above and below decks, excellent performance and functional yet seriously stylish design – all in a magic 40 foot package. Origami is the three cabin, two head layout offering maximum versatility for accommodation and storage. This yacht was ordered with almost every option chosen. Notably the major upgrades include the 50hp engine (upgraded from 40) with folding propeller, full instrument package with 12” colour plotter with AIS plus autopilot, additional separate freezer, in-mast furling, bowsprit and asymmetric ready gear, lifeline opening gates, and cockpit galley with BBQ and sink. The saloon table lowers with mattress to create another double berth or comfy day bed. The settee coffee table / nav table also lowers to create a sea berth or lounge. The German mainsheet system allows the main to be easily controlled by the winches within arm’s reach of the helms.
