Ductwork and How to Repair a marine toilet

This week we show how to maintain your marine toilet. A worn out joker valve will allow water to backflow into the bowl after being flushed. We show how to troubleshoot and replace this part. It is not a glorious job but a reality of living aboard a boat. We also improve the heat and air distribution within the cabins on the boat by installing rigid duct work using inexpensive PVC. If you have ever had a need to get more heat or air into certain portions of the bota, this video shows a simple and easy way to do so with tools and skills most boaters will have. The hardest part of this job is routing the ductwork but with a little planning, it is not that hard to do. We will show you the best way to plan the vent locations as well based on your climate and needs.
