Day 18 sailing solo with no GPS for 243 days

Catching up on Mara’s journey around the world. 🌍 This was Day 18. Mara received a weather warning about a low-pressure system developing in the area and had a decision to make. The day before, she had decided to head WEST of the Cape Verde Islands, hoping to avoid the worst of the developing system. Would it be the right call? And how would the different routes chosen by the other skippers play out?
