Day 10 - 16:20pm - Argo float deployment

Boris deploys a scientific Argo float which will in this region near to the equator for 4-5 years. It will automatically send temperature, salinity and pressure data from the top 2000 m of the ocean back to many different scientists in partnership with IOC-UNESCO and the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development. 5 year old children from one of our Ocean Challenge school classes from Brest drew their names on the float before the departure of the Vendée Globe.
