Sometimes sailing doesn't go as planned because mother nature decides differently. This is what happened to us twice at the Atlantic coast of France - once already in the harbor of Saint Martin de Ré and again at the entrance to Arcachon in front of Europe's highest sand dune. An unplanned Biscay crossing followed! Technical problems with our fridge were also a challenge that we had to tackle in "la ville blanche", Rochelle, a luminous city with a somewhat dark history.
