Cruise French Canals SARDY flight NIVERNAIS a BIKING injury Château and ESCARGOT that's BURGUNDY
Ep19: Sardy Flight. The Bourgogne Nivernais canal is narrow, shallow and beautiful. Heading south from The Seine means ascending the amazing ladder of 16 locks in 3km. In Burgundy this is probably the most beautiful canal route to take IF your boat and crew can manage it. Sailing to the Mediterranean via French Canals and Rivers takes you and your boat to so many places off the beaten tracks through a forgotten world of slow transport, epic construction and history of notable people. Please join us on our journey of exploration and share our discovery of the unknown. By the way don't try this if the water draft of your boat is deeper than 1.1m, the air draft is higher than 2.6m or length more than 29m because you WON'T GET THROUGH unless you're very determined. P.s. Sheenagh likes to think it really was Aiden Turner who helped us through!
