Crowdfunding Science in the Mediterranean Sea

You can empower small-scale marine research by helping these young researchers to conduct their important projects in the Mediterranean Sea! Sicily! The Mediterranean Sea, Europe's bathtub, gentle waves, dolce vita and a winter escape... ...but, the Med is also heavily polluted, loosing habitats for marine life and is a tragic scene of accelerated climate change. Well, these are at least the problems we know of. But there are also many things we don’t know about – like: where are the last natural coastal habitats and how can we protect them? how far in the mess of micro and macro plastic are we? what does sailing culture tell about our society? or do whales speak Sicilian too? We definitely need more science dedicated to the Mediterranean Sea. What if people like you and us decided on which science is needed, is lacking or simply incredibly exciting? Crowd-Science for the Med Sea aims to enable small-scale research projects and put the crowd in the driver seat of decision making.
