Construction of a New Dinghy | Sailing Eleutheros EP59
In this episode Mark begins construction of a new wooden dinghy. It will be a downsized version that Herreshoff designed for Nereia. At 7 1/2 feet long, this pram will be just right for Eleutheros. We take a trip to Marks lumber yard (in the bow of Eleutheros) to dig out some white oak that Mark has been saving for this build. Other projects on the go include replacing the webbing that hold the sail slides on the main and mizzen, with stainless shackles. The video ends with a pleasant sunset sail on Lunenburg Bay.
