La Jolla Shore is a calm sea condition and excellent visibility underwater, which makes it ideal for exploring the marine treasures of San Diego. The water temperature is around 59℉ to 72℉ on the surface, with the temperatures decreasing as the depth increases. Catalina Island's original scuba diving facility, Catalina Divers Supply, was started in 1958 and continues to inspire the diving tradition on Catalina Island.
