Bora Bora Wedding - Stranded in Paradise ?? | @svkalos

Welcome to Kalos! In this episode we fly to Bora Bora to get married in authentic Polynesian style! Join us as we take you through our travels and met up in L.A. with the wedding party who traveled from all parts of America to be a part of our very special day in French Polynesia. We flew into Tahiti (Papetee) and then took another majestic flight over the islands Mo'orea and Raiatea to be greeted by the infamous Mt. Otemanu before we landed on the atoll to be picked up by a water taxi or shuttle from our Resort (Le Bora Bora). Soon after we had cold champagne and hot fire dancers. The resort is not accustomed to accommodating 16 guests at one time for a wedding so we most certainly had a unique experience for all when we arrived. Tisha and I had the End of Pontoon Over the Water Bungalow with Horizon Pool while our other quests had a combination of the Royal Villa and several overwater bungalows. We joke that Jason Momoa (Aquaman) crashed our wedding as he was on the main island as well as our resort for a few days with his family. In the shadow of a dormant volcano we swam in the turquoise lagoon, sailed around the island on a catamaran and hiked the hills and beaches of Bora Bora. We visit iconic locations like the Bora Bora Beach Club, WWII Guns, a pillbox abandoned by the U.S. Navy & Bloody Marys. We left America on the 4th of July and while we were in the air our airline (Air Tahiti Nui) went on strike. When we were scheduled to fly out of Tahiti we could not leave as our flight had been cancelled due to the strike. Luckily, we had a local family that was gracious enough to give up their family home so we could all stay together until we were able to figure out our flight back to America. Due to the rescheduling of the flight home we found ourselves with a short layover at LAX to so we decided to grab a hotel for a few hours to get cleaned up and then we explored Marina del Ray, Venice Beach and Santa Monica.
