What it really comes down to is that we don't like RV campgrounds. They're busy, noisy, expensive, and chock full of people. The alternative strategy that we choose to employ is BOONDOCKING. Boondocking is one of those weird words that don't have a specific definition. It means different things to different people. For us, it means camping in "free" areas such as designated forestry land without any amenities such as power, water or sewer. It's essentially off grid RV living. It's not for everyone, that's for sure. Most people prefer more posh and convenient accommodations, but for folks like us who prefer to get away from it all... boondocking is the answer.
