Bahamas Crossing- February 2024

We left Lake Worth Florida at 5:00 AM. Immediately outside the inlet we had 4 to 6 foot waves which continued for the next six hours or so until it settle down. We were able to put the sail up for a while which gave us an extra couple of knots of speed and helped stabilize the boat but then the wind direction shifted and we were going directly into it. ?? Our choices were to either tack or use the motor. We used the motor because we wanted to get to our destination as quickly as possible. Once the seas calmed down it was a beautiful cruise. We arrived at our anchorage at Great Sale Cay 10:45 pm.
