At The End Its The Journey that counts? @Sailing Adventures with Grandad Its been two years of sailing since I left Mallorca and I cant help feeling that there is something especially spiritual and very deep going on. This channel of Sailing Adventures with Grandad, started after our long Covid battle. I departed Palma de Mallorca with my grandson Ishi, his dad my son Peter and Javi my trusted saling companion, when he can. We went East around Sicily, across the Ionian, transiting the Corinth Canal and then solo sailed the Cyclades. Discovering how lonely I felt sailing on my own so I now sail with frinds or family. On this final chapter # 24 I was joined by my grandson Saxon and for the first 10 days Javi. With no parents. It was fun and memorable for me to get to know Saxon. This story is about playing, sharing, laughing and learning. The playing was mostly Javi, the laughing and sharing was all of us and the learning I think was all of us as well. Saxon however also learned about being a mate on a boat and about how to do so many things. Fast learner, willing and fun companion and leaving me with a memory I will have for the rest of my days. SAILING ADVENTURES WITH GRANDAD, these 24 episodes are my amateur creations of my travels and experiences on Vayu my 44 ft X-yacht Vayu. The people I travel with, from Mallorca to Greece, the exploration of the Pennepoles and the Cyclades and my reflections on living this adventure. Thanks for allowing this amateur to share these little stories that require an imense effort. Your appreciation means a lot to me.
