A Guide to Lastovo Island, Croatia

One of the most remote inhabited islands along Croatia's Adriatic Sea, Lastovo, only 18 square miles in size, has old school charm and a calm way of life. Close by to Korcula, Lastovo is a hidden gem worthy of exploration. Similar to Vis, this pocket-sized island was used as an army base and was closed off to tourism until 1988, where its old school charm has been maintained for its less than 1000 inhabitants.
