214: The BEST way to explore Tikal & Flores and the JUNGLE of Guatemala

Discovering Tikal and Flores is a MUST when you are in Guatemala. Tikal is a UNESCO Heritage site and is located in the jungle in Northern Guatemala. Spend a minimum of two nights in the park and enjoy early morning walks among the ancient ruins with the sounds of the jungle piercing the silence; in the afternoon, follow the barks of the howler monkeys as they ensure their adversaries know which trees are off limits. Before or after visiting Tikal, stay the night in Flores and enjoy this European-esque island village. It's a quaint place with cobble stoned streets and incredible views of the water. So, here begins our journey, filled with unmatched excitement and honestly, a bit of trepidation as well. We have much to learn as we travel the world on our floating home and we intend to document that journey and share it with you.
