2021 Frosties Regatta - Races 1 & 2

Strangford Lough Yacht Club once again hosted the season ending Frosties Regatta on the picturesque shores of upper Strangford Lough. There were 5 yachts entered in this years IRC 1 regatta, which was down on last year due to the continue impact COVID is having on getting crews together. The racing in this years Frosties Regatta was as close as ever. In the IRC 1 class racing was so extremely tight with boats boats regularly finishing within seconds of each other and the overall series result getting decided on count back when the top two yachts could not be seperated. GTR was back to defend their Frosties title, they were however expecting close competition from two other local boats, HiJacker and Le Basculer. The Regatta was held out of SLYC over 5 weekends with 10 races in total. The series was a classic with 3 different race winners and 3 boats that could still take the title coming into the last day for racing.
