Step aboard CIRSIUM, a 1982 Bristol 41.1 center cockpit cruiser designed by Ted Hood and built by Bristol Yachts in Rhode Island. The Bristol 41.1 is one of Ted Hood's best known keel and centerboard designs, and CIRSIUM shows why the type still has such a loyal following. With the board up she draws just 4'6", opening up shallow bays, creeks and Bahamas anchorages that most 41 footers have to skip. Drop the board and she draws 10'6" for real upwind bite offshore. Her solid hand laid hull, encapsulated lead ballast and protected skeg hung rudder give her the easy motion and peace of mind you want on a long passage. Standing rigging was replaced in 2018, and over the 2025/2026 winter the mast was unstepped for a full rigging inspection with every chainplate pulled, inspected and resealed. Below, satin varnished teak and a teak and holly sole give her the warm New England feel that Bristol interiors are known for. The walk through galley sits to starboard with a gimbaled Shipmate stove, deep double sinks and engine driven refrigeration, opposite a proper aft facing nav station. Power comes from a Westerbeke 55 diesel with under 900 hours, and a Garmin package with radar, AIS and a 2023 autopilot handles the navigation. With 126 gallons of fresh water and onboard LTE wifi, longer stays at anchor are easy.
