Circulando a costa brasileiro, passando pelas Ilhas do Caribe e chegar até o Canadá onde moram dois filhos meus. Depois, seguindo a Corrente Marítima, passar pela Europa e navegar pelo Mar Mediterrâneo. Continuar seguindo a corrente marítima até a África do Sul para retornar ao Brasil. Também cito a preocupação com as janelas do tempo. A temporada de Furacões no Caribe e o inferno canadense onde ficarei em torno de 5 meses. Além do inverno Europeu que terei que me afastar dele. Informo, também, que comprei o Veleiro sem saber pilotar. Mas durante dois anos estudei para passar nas três provas da Marinha do Brasil: Arrais, Mestre Amador e Capitão Amador. Quando comprei o Veleiro já era Capitão Amador. Quem me motivou a tornar-se marinheiro foi meu filho mais velho. Ele tem um veleiro 29 pés no lago de Montreal e certa vez me disse: "Veio Doido por que você não compra um veleiro e venha até o Canadá"? Achei que era brincadeira. Mas no ano seguinte fui visitá-lo e pilotei o Veleiro dele. No primeiro contato já decidi que podia prometer que eu faria o trajeto. Passei pensar intensamente na aventura. Voltando para o Brasil comecei a devorar vídeos. Assisti todos os vídeos do #sal, #Veleiro Liberdade, #Veleiro Katoosh, #Tio Spinelli, entre outras dezenas de navegadores. Sem contar os filmes de Longa metragem. Paralelamente, comecei a estudar para as provas. Meus amigos nem acreditavam. Riam de mim, dizendo que eu estava louco. Como moro sozinho arrumei um amuleto para me cobrar. Trata-se de um bonequinho de um pirata com um dos olhos tampado por uma venda. Todos os dias eu olhava para ele e ele olhava para mim e eu o obedecia: ia estudar. Solteiro, comecei a procurar uma companheira para ser minha parceira. Me cadastrei no site do namoro e ficava bisbilhotando o perfil de toda mulher do facebook. Se fosse solteira e não tivesse filho eu mandava um convite que já estava previamente redigido. Forma mais de 50 vítimas. Umas duas responderam com gozação pensando que eu era golpista. Entretanto, uma aqui da minha cidade, não acreditou inicialmente, mas me deu moral. Ela entrou no meu perfil e viu que eu já tinha feitos outras aventuras, inclusive a última de ir de bicicleta até Paraty-RJ. Conheci ela pessoalmente e procurei logo ser seu namorado. Tem um ano e meio que estamos juntos e ela quase toda semana desiste de me acompanhar, mas eu nunca desisti. Qualquer raivinha ou ciuminho era motivo de desistência e cada vez eu arrumava um argumento novo. Agora, no momento que escrevo, faltando menos de um mês para sair, ela está terminada comigo e desistiu da aventura. Mas eu tenho certeza que ela vai. Modéstia à parte, tenho muitas virtudes: honestidade; sinceridade e lealdade. Mas sou orgulhos com meu otimismo e minha determinação. Its Hot, Hot, Hot down under here in Melbourne Australia! Not only is the weather perfect and some of the best champagne sailing conditions we have seen for a while its also time for the Australian National Championships for the Hobie 16 and Hobie 14 divisions at the beautiful McCrea yacht Club. In this episode, I decide, after putting it off for awhile, to take drastic measures to repair significant structural rot under the aft deck by demolishing it, to allow making repairs from above. I also decided, after a lot of hemming and hawing, to replace the teak-over-ply with solid planks, most likely made of black locust, and with a much simpler layout (even though the original design was lovely). Not an easy decision, and a lot of work, but it will make for a better repair, and I will have a nice new deck, good for another 50 years, maybe. It is also very likely the other two sections of the deck will be replaced the same way, but in the future, after Nina returns to the water. Thanks for watching; comment/like/share/subscribe!
