La Rochelle est souvent un port de passage. Bien évidemment, les abords du vieux port valent le détour. This week, I decided to check out some of the historical sites or history that interest me along the Seaside Barrier Island in New Jersey. I took a little tour of the Seaside Beach Yacht Club, checked out the Coast Guard Lifeboat Station that saved sunken ships in the 1930s and 1940s, Visited the ‘Judges Fishing Shack’, saw an amazing little private residence on one of the barrier islands, Checked out the nature center and saw some Fin Whale Jaw bones from a 55’ beached Whale.
