Mit 2 x 300 PS und entsprechendem Getöse fahren wir an die Südspitze von Isabela. Auf dem Weg taucht plötzlich mitten im Meer ein Felsen auf gegen den das Meer heftig brandet. Sich so nah solch einer Brandung zu nähern, das ist nur wegen der 2 x 300 PS möglich. Für die Vögel ist dieser Fels ein absolut sicherer Ort. Hier kommt so schnell keiner hin. Entlang der Küste erstreckt sich ein ununterbrochener Riffgürtel. Hier brandet von SW kommend das Meer. Als Schiffsführer eines eigenen Bootes, weiß ich um die Gefahren solch einer Brandung – leicht quergeschlagen und das Boot sowie dessen Crew sind verloren. Der Skipper jedoch kennt hier jeden Zentimeter, wartet auf die richtige Welle und schießt mit seinen 600 PS mitten durch. Dahinter Ententeich. Eine faszinierende Landschaft tut sich auf. Die Lavaströme, durch die letztendlich die gesamten Galápagosinseln geschaffen wurden, haben hier ein Labyrinth von Brücken, gewundenen Wasserwegen, Inseln und auch unter dem Wasserspiegel liegenden Höhlen und Durchgängen geformt. Die Tropical lässt ein Dingy zu Wasser. In diesem schlängeln wir uns durch das Labyrinth und sehen jede Menge Wasserschildkröten und Tölpel. Wir gehen an Land. Soweit die Felsformationen es zulassen, laufen wir über Brücken und Felsen zwischen Kakteen und Felsspalten. Wir können uns an der herrlichen und einzigartigen Landschaft kaum satt sehen. In den letzten 6 Monaten hat Sie aber eine erstaunliche Entwicklung hinter sich gebracht und freut sich auf unser großes Abenteuer genau wie ich.
