A true gentleman’s – canoe stern yacht built by Lowland after a timeless and classic design of De Vries Lentsch. Built to very high Dutch standards in 1992, Suncoco has always been well maintained and upgraded over the years. Spacious deck areas offer various areas to relax, sunbathe, enjoy nice lunches, and al fresco dinners. The spacious flybridge offers a sunbed, Jacuzzi, and steering position all with panoramic views. The upper deck offers a spacious deck area for dinning that can be shaded and, once the tender is launched, a large sundeck. Two sliding doors give access towards the sky lounge. The roomy aft deck offers a nice sun area and nice shaded settee with a large table. From here you enter the comfortable saloon that offers two seating areas. All interior woodwork is made in teak Dutch crafted paneling. The (formal) dining area is separately situated forward in the saloon and offers seating for eight persons. The stairs lead to the wheelhouse with an observation seat for guests and access to the sky lounge. Suncoco offers a nice large galley on the main deck for a great dining experience onboard. My first ever solo sail! This is something I've been dreaming about for so many years. The reality of living on the coast, living on a sailboat, and learning to sail is surreal. It is hard to comprehend that I am doing this. Daily routines are never routine here on the sailboat. There is always a project to work on and I love that! Every day, my hands are busy with maintenance and repairs...and now sailing! In this episode I get out on the water twice. Once is a solo sail in very light winds and then I get out again a few days later with my new friend, Rick. Rick Cook sailed his sailboat, "Enjoy", down to Point Roberts from Vancouver. He arrived in the marina in time for us to get out for a sail together in some heavy winds and medium seas. It was an intense sail. I am really sorry about the wind noise on the camera.
