I've never stepped aboard a stand up paddle board before, but I'm going to give this SUP thing a try. Luckily, the guy behind the camera, Paul, is an experienced paddler. He'll talk me through the basics, and give me plenty of tips and tricks to get through my first paddle without falling off the board. Paddling around was a lot of fun, and I stayed dry! A new keel design on the Yamaha AR 240 solves a long-standing complaint with all jet-drive sport boats: poor low-speed steering. The keel features an extra sharp edge on the keel, as well as an extended cast-aluminum fin off the aft edge of the keel that turns with the drives. It was designed to help steering at no-wake speeds, but the boat also handles much better at high speeds.
