With full sails and steady winds, we arrive just in time for a golden sunset in the bay of Peguera. We explore the historic heart of Palma, including the stunning Palma Cathedral (La Seu) and the Royal Palace of La Almudaina, before enjoying some authentic Mallorcan cuisine at a local favorite. Back on board, it’s time for some essential sailboat maintenance. We take down our headsail, inspect and lubricate the furling system, and patch a few tears on the leech. With Vika on the winch and Kaia back in shape, we’re ready to continue our journey. Ragazzi, non c'è verso! Per quanto si cerchi di programmare i lavori di cantiere alla perfezione, la vita sul mare è incerta per definizione e i ritardi si accumulano come le cambiali! Io ho finito i lavori sulla Maruzza, la mia barca a vela che mi porterà in Africa. Adesso è perfetta e pronta ad andare ovunque. Ma la Pasqua ortodossa ha colpito e il cantiere, come tutto il resto, ha chiuso i battenti per una settimana... Quindi c'è poco da fare, se non festeggiare con gli amici, sperando che la prossima settimana porti una bella gru che possa mettere in mare la Maruzza.
