Running our Volvo Penta MD 19 engine for the first time with water connected. We took the engine apart completely and renovated/changed the components. We did almost the entire work ourselves and wrote all about it on our blog. Calm water. Secluded beach. Back side of Norman’s Pond in the Exumas. We’ve always been told: Don’t swim early morning. Don’t swim at dusk. Now we know why. As the sun dropped and the tide shifted, a massive shark started circling just offshore. Not passing through. Not curious. Stalking. Low light is feeding time. And we were standing in its territory. Real life Jaws. 🦈
