Running our Volvo Penta MD 19 engine for the first time with water connected. We took the engine apart completely and renovated/changed the components. We did almost the entire work ourselves and wrote all about it on our blog. David Payne of the Australian National Maritime Museum gives us some more inspiration for Australian Sailing Hall of Fame nominations. Today he shows us around Taipan, the 18 foot skiff designed and raced by Bob Miller. Miller, who was later known as Ben Lexcen, used many of the design principles seen in Taipan on the successful Australia II.
