Miyabi is a custom-built Visamara, built for fast cruising in the Mediterranean and completed a refit in 2018. She could set an example regarding development and design innovation, offering large space compared to other yachts in her size range. Thanks to her hull, derived from the modern Volvo 70, she ensures the most comfortable pass on the waves and convenience of navigation. Miyabi has adopted the open space concept for her salon and galley. Her raised salon allows full visibility to the exterior when standing up. The galley was moved forward to define the separate functions of the two environments and at the same time, to give continuity in the space. Her experienced crew of 2 looks forward to a busy season in the Balearic islands.

► On Thursday May 22, Catana Group held an open day at its brand-new production facility for Yot, its new range of powercats. Located on the shores of a perfectly sheltered stretch of water in Aveiro, just south of Porto, in Portugal, the 5-acre (20,000 m²) site is adjacent to that of Xquisite Yachts. This is where the Yot 36 and 41 are produced, ahead of a larger model which we’ll be hearing more about very soon. The shipyard will eventually employ 450 people and have an annual production capacity of 200 units. This fine example of the Iconic Island runner has lived in the dry stack at Lions Bay Marina. Howe Sound Marine has been servicing the 5.7 GXi volvo engine which has only 718 hours on it and has a remote racor fuel filter. The canvas has the custom drop curtain back and is in great shape. The full length swim grid has a custom teak top, with a swim ladder attached to it. Boarding is a breeze with the step tread on the gunwhale and the fold down steps on both sides. The cockpit deck is self bailing and comes with a raw water wash down. There is 30 amp shore power with AC outlets. It has the sink-storage cabinet upgrade. There is upholstery for the engine hatch and removeable transom corner seats. The helm seat is a really cool wrap around bolster which converts to a supported seat. There is an Icom VHF radio and Furuno GPS. There is a big Vberth with lots of storage underneath and a marine toilet. Ask about transferrable moorage at Lions Bay.
