Originally built by Benetti in 1967, Odyssey III was refurbished to provide elegant, modern accommodation for her Owners, guests and charter clients. More recently the yacht has been renamed as Odyssey III and returned to Pendennis for a substantial restoration program that was completed in summer 2018. Fundamentally all engineering aspects on board were either completely overhauled or replaced, including exhaust, generator, stabilizers and fresh/greywater systems. A full equipment upgrade on the bridge was carried out along with a new helm position and seating area. On deck and external works involved a complete blast and re-fair of the whole yacht with comprehensive corrosion work done to the hull and superstructure. To make the vessel commercially compliant for charter purposes, all handrails were raised to the same height. The decks were re-faired and relayed with 20mm teak and the flybridge was transformed with the addition of a permanent Bimini. The saloon and bridge windows were replaced as well as the underwater lights. The re-design of the aft boat seating area and sun deck opened up a wonderful social space including BBQ and entertainment area. Odyssey's port side was extended with a 4-meter side boarding platform and passerelle, providing access to the newly improved exterior social areas. The interiors were given a new lease of life with the main saloon undergoing a complete re-design with a newly constructed bar, writing desk, state of the art relocated pop-up tv and all soft furnishing replaced. New fabrics were also introduced to the owner's cabin and guest accommodation while the crew area was remodeled to accommodate the appropriate cabins and bathrooms, complete with refreshed mess and brand new laundry area. Odyssey III left the yard in Spring 2018, completely modernized and fully upgraded ready to take on her next adventure.
