After crossing the Atlantic, we finally reached Cadiz, Spain — but with our starboard engine controls broken, docking turned into a high-stakes challenge. I had to throttle manually from the engine room while the captain shouted commands over a walkie-talkie. One wrong move, and it could have been a disaster.
