Talk about being SHOCKED! My neighbor SURPRISED me with a gift that he got while free diving in front of our home. He saw me firing up the grill for some steak and thought he would go free diving to turn my dinner into a "surf and turf". He walked straight out of the ocean and up to my lanai and proceeded to clean it right there! I have never cooked an octopus before so I asked him how and he gave me some quick tips and then handed it to me. When I put the Octopus into the boiling pot of water it began to move. Then when I put the salt in the water it moved even more. It was trippy! Knowing what I know now, I will certainly try a few things different to help get the meat to be more tender. The first week of the season ending Frosties Regatta at Strangford Lough Yacht Club were sailed in perfect conditions. With a steady 10 to 15 knots which built steadily during the afternoon before topping out at 15 to 20 knots for race 2. The team on GTR pulled of a near perfect gybe coming down the last run to consolidate the their leading while flying into the bottom mark at of 8 knots of boats speed. After a shacking start to the season in big breezes it is great to see the crew working like clock work as the seasons on Going to Red races towards it's close.
