One of our NSSC Sailability members, Jazz Turner, featured on BBC South East Today lunchtime news on leaving Brighton Marina at the start of her epic Project FEAR ("face everything and rise") journey. She is attempting to become the first female wheelchair user to complete a solo, non-stop, unassisted circumnavigation of the UK and Ireland. Jazz is raising money for the Newhaven and Seaford Sailing Club (NSSC) Sailability fund. Regular viewers will know one of the things we've always wanted to do is moor the boat in winter in a place where we could easily go skiing. We came very close during our winter in Venice with the snow capped Dolomite mountains always in view from our mooring. Sadly that year we were scuppered by Covid which kept the ski resorts in the Alps closed all winter. Well this year we've cracked it! Porto Montenegro is a 2 hour drive to Kolasin, a really nice little skiing town high in the picturesque mountains, what's even better is the marina has their own ski chalet which we can book free of charge!
