West Highland Yacht Week 2023 gave the team at Bottom Up Boats a story to tell in the bar which you could never imagine.. As the J109 Going To Red was coming into the bottom mark for the second time they had to put the bow done to avoid a dog that had jumped off the bow of the boat in front. I must admit that I would never have expected to have to worry about dodging dogs at the bottom mark of a yacht race. I guess you should never say never when you are out and about on the race course. Questa ancora ci mancava. Un delfino, cioè dico UN DELFINO, su 2 metri di fondale, in un canale. È la migliore sveglia da quando sono nato. Abbiamo sentito respirare ed è stato inconfondibile. Gli occhi lo hanno solo confermato. Dopo una sveglia così non si poteva che migliorare: le condizioni del mare sono perfette. Mollati gli ormeggi da Antigua facciamo prua su Barbuda, una delle isole più selvagge dei Caraibi. Durante la navigazione ascoltiamo buona musica e ci ricordiamo di quanto sia bello navigare a vela. È proprio vero che è sempre, e ancora una volta, tutta una questione di equilibri.
