We recently navigated the uncharted Kinabatangan River, aka 560 km of wild, winding waterways home to monkeys, elephants and other rare and endangered wildlife. The surface looks calm, but at night, those glowing eyes of giant crocs in the torchlight remind you who really owns this place... very splash had our crew looking twice! Along the way, we met locals who live entirely from this river, their homes perched on its banks. Guys, would you sail up this river?? Let us know in the comments below!

Passengers onboard our Silversonic dive and snorkel vessel and Pro Dive Cairns Liveaboard vessel had rare whale shark encounters within days of each other at Turtle Bay on the Agincourt reefs (Silversonic) and at Flynn Reef off Cairns (Pro Dive Cairns). The spectacular whale shark sighting encountered by Silversonic's passengers and crew measured around 6m in length and was travelling slowly in a north west direction. Went to Jetty Park Beach today to see if we thought the washed out beach might be worth taking our metal detector to search for treasures. The beach erosion was more than we thought but I believe we will plan a trip back with the detector. never know what kind of treasures you might find!
