Let’s talk about those Sailfin Snapper in one of our Ribbons Reef episodes, we’ve been getting a lot of comments on this footage. While we’ve seen plenty of smaller schools over the years, this one was HUGE! We can only assume they were spawning on this reef edge when we came across them - as a lot of other species seemed to be around the same time. Amazing to witness and catch on film. Secondly, a few people have told us these are good eating however the first thing that shows up on a google search is that they’ve got a high cig risk. So yeah, don’t think I’ll risk that. | Palm Beach XI sailed up the Derwent River just on sunset to take 5th place in Line Honours. A remarkable achievement given the little sailing time the crew had prior to the race and in light of abandoned fishing lines getting wrapped around their keel and dagger boards.
