Fast sailing in my 1987 Precision 16 sailing dinghy at Cherry Creek Reservoir near Denver, Colorado. The Precision 16 is a lightweight Stephen Seaton-designed un-ballasted centerboard sailing dinghy with a planing hull manufactured from 1982 until the mid 90s. It was superseded in 1995 by the smaller Jim Taylor-designed Precision 15 (P-15CB and P-15K). Maverick 440 Bossa Nova filmed on anchor outside of Hope Town Harbour in the Bahamas in Feb 2015. The draft of the Maverick 440 is just on 1 meter / or just over 3 ft, so it has the shallowest draft of any fixed keel cruising catamaran in its class. You can see this as the yacht is in just on 4ft of water. The shallow draft if you access to move anchorages, more locations, and a higher safety margin when you sailing around in the tropical islands.
