We varnish by hand. We let our craftsmen use their skill and their eyes to decide when the wood used in the interior has enough varnish. Many companies use varnishing machines that spray thin layers of varnish onto the wood; often before the wood is assembled into the finished part. By applying vanish by hand we get a thicker, more hard-wearing finish on our wooden surfaced. By varnishing after units are assembled the wood is completely sealed and moisture has nowhere to enter the wood. Our bulkheads are varnished only once they have been laminated in the boat. This fully seals the wood, to ensure a tough finish for years to come. Entriamo nella Fase 2 con molta voglia di ricominciare pari al timore di dover ricominciare tutto da capo. Oggi in Lombardia era una giornata splendida, una di quelle giornate in cui sembra che il virus sia soltanto un brutto sogno, finché il suono di un'ambulanza ci riporta alla realtà. I fiori nel nostro piccolo giardino raccontano di speranza e voglia di di andare avanti. Sta a noi non rovinare tutto quello che siamo riusciti a fare finora. Le norme ci sono, ma quella più importante è il nostro buon senso. Usandolo, siamo sicuri che torneremo presto a navigare con voi. La nostra Blue Magic ci aspetta in Sardegna. Non facciamola aspettare troppo. I notice that the Seychelles always feels a bit unreal… Like nature is showing off. Car-free islands where people move on bicycles. Turtles almost 400 kg walking right next to you. Forests that look the same as they did 1,000 years ago. And water so clear you can see your shadow on the sand. When I’m there, I always think, “Is this my life or a movie?” And the best part is exploring all of this from a yacht, waking up with the sea under your feet and a new island every morning. **14–21 February 2026** One week in paradise.
